As MAP 150 seeks to find the new tools and processes that put citizens in the role of “co-producers” of the public good, we’re testing these new ideas through a series of demonstration, or pilot, projects. Each demonstration project focuses on one of the four questions set on the MAP 150 agenda. Here’s a few that we’re working on now. But stay tuned; there are more to come!

Interested in being involved with one of the MAP 150 demonstration projects? Fill out our contact form and tell us how you’d like to be involved, or just to find out more.

Redistricting

Every 10 years, each state re-draws its political districts to reflect changes in population, as measured in the census. How these lines are drawn makes an impact on who wins and who loses. Minnesota may be losing a congressional district after 2010 (7, down from 8). Citizens rarely have much of a role in the redistricting process... until now. Check out our work and fun tools to see how you can make an impact.
